Best Books About Social Media Marketing

Social media marketing is a big part of all business marketing nowadays.

You need to have online presence in order for customers to find your business, to get reviews posted, to manage customer service, manage your brand, etc.

I use social media to connect with my customers every day and I also manage social media pages for customers. I've read many books about the topic since my background had nothing to do with marketing. I had a business to run and had to learn marketing FAST!


Here are my favorites from the latest books I read about marketing.

1- Marketing: a Love Story: How to Matter to Your Customers by Bernadette Jiwa. It's a small book you can read very quickly and start thinking like a marketer who cares about the customer. Learn how to help customers solve problems with your services or products.

2- Make your Idea Matter by Bernadette Jiwa (seriously... she knows what she's talking about and her books are short and very easy to read). This is about how to tell your story so that it reaches your customers.


4- All Marketers Are Liars: The Underground Classic That Explains How Marketing Really Works--and Why Authenticity Is the Best Marketing of All by Seth Godin (you've probably seen his "This Is Broken" Ted Talks video). At the basis of all marketing is the story of the company/product/service.

5- This I Know:Marketing Lessons from Under the Influence by Terry O'Reilly (if there's one person I would love to be coached by, it would be Terry O'Reilly). If you don't know about his show Under The Influence, check it out! He gives great insight about how we are constantly influenced by marketing and advertisement. If there's one book I would suggest small business owners/marketers to read, it would be this one.
